From left: Runner-up Van Nhi, Miss Vietnam Ha Truc Linh, and Runner-up Chau Anh. On the afternoon of 4/7, the beauty queens met with readers at the VnExpress headquarters a week after the competition concluded. The three wore coordinating outfits by designer Nguyen Minh Tuan.

The women said they were still filled with joy after the June 27 final in Hue City. "Every day, the three of us only sleep for a few hours because of the busy post-competition schedule, but no one feels tired," Ha Truc Linh said.

They are currently accompanying the organizers at various events and sports tournaments, while also engaging with media outlets in both northern and southern Vietnam.

The 21-year-old beauty queen is a student at the University of Finance - Marketing in Ho Chi Minh City. She said she has requested an extended leave of absence from the university to participate in post-coronation activities. Once things settle down, she will return to her studies.

Ha Truc Linh, 21, hails from Dak Lak (formerly Phu Yen). She has a radiant face, stands 1.71 m tall, and her measurements are 75-61-94 cm. She received strong support from the audience when she won the top title, having been a prominent contender throughout the six-month competition.

First Runner-up Chau Anh opted for a slightly flared dress, accessorized with gloves.

Chau Anh said she hasn't had much time to see her parents and relatives since the competition. However, through phone calls, her family has offered encouragement and reminded her to eat and sleep well to maintain her health.

Hailing from Hanoi, she is notably the first female soldier to win the runner-up title in the competition's history. Chau Anh works at the Military University of Culture and Arts and studies piano at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. She is 1.7 m tall with measurements of 86-60-90 cm.

Second Runner-up Nguyen Thi Van Nhi, from Hai Phong, is 1.74 m tall with measurements of 82-63-95 cm. She received praise from the audience for her radiant face and demeanor. The 20-year-old contestant is a student at Phenikaa University in Hanoi.

Miss Vietnam 2024 kicked off late last year, marking the first time a reality TV format was adopted. The competition did not accept contestants who had undergone cosmetic surgery, aiming to find natural, original beauty. The preliminary round attracted thousands of applicants. The organizers selected the top 60, then the top 45, and finally the top 25 contestants for the final round.

The event is a beauty pageant initiated by Tien Phong Newspaper and first held in 1988 as Miss Tien Phong Newspaper. The first crown holder was Bui Bich Phuong from Hanoi. Over the years, despite the proliferation of beauty contests, Miss Vietnam has maintained its status as a prestigious platform with its own distinct identity.
