My Chemical Romance embarks on Southeast Asia tour

Rock band My Chemical Romance will tour Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia in 4/2026, seven years after their reunion.

On 7/7, tour organizers announced the concert schedule, marking the band's first Asian tour since reuniting in 2019. The four members will kick off the tour in Incheon (South Korea) on 18/4/2026, followed by stops in Bangkok (Thailand), the Philippines, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Jakarta (Indonesia).

The news has excited many fans, attracting tens of thousands of likes and over 10,000 shares. On social media platforms, many fans commented: "My youth has been revived", "I've been waiting for this day all this time", "I can't believe My Chemical Romance is actually coming to Asia!".

Tickets for the Singapore show go on sale at 10:00 local time (9:00 Hanoi time) on 11/7, ranging from 3 million to 7 million VND. Ticket information for other locations will be announced soon.

Before heading to Asia, My Chemical Romance will have a series of performances in South America, including a major show in Mexico called The Black Parade - Alive!. According to NME, in 2022, the band had planned to hold shows in Southeast Asian countries but canceled due to the pandemic.

My Chemical Romance is an American band formed in 2001 in New Jersey. The group, known for their emo, alternative rock, and post-hardcore music in the 2000s, currently consists of four members: lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way, guitarist Ray Toro, and Frank Iero.

In 2002, they released their first album but rose to fame in 2004 with the album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and the hit single Helena. In 2006, My Chemical Romance continued to make their mark with the album The Black Parade, most notably with the song Welcome to the Black Parade. In 2008, My Chemical Romance came to Vietnam and performed at the Unite 08 event at Quan Khu 7 Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City) alongside Ngu Cung and Unlimited.

In 2013, the group disbanded. Six years later, they reunited and returned to performing. In June, the band released a new version of the album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, commemorating the 21st anniversary of the work's release.
