The final episode, broadcast on the morning of 27/7, featured four contestants: Phuong My Chi, Kha Lau, Chu Phi Ca (China), and Miyuna (Japan). In the first round, the contestants were paired with guest artists for duets, after which one contestant was eliminated. The remaining three then competed in solo performances, with the top two advancing to the final round. A panel of 21 online judges voted to determine the winner.
Phuong My Chi and Hoang Linh performed a bilingual Vietnamese-Chinese version of "Lac Troi" (a hit song by Son Tung M-TP). DTAP rearranged the original song with orchestral accompaniment for added emotional depth. Their harmonious and well-synchronized performance impressed the judges, earning them the highest score of 202.8 points.
For her solo performance, My Chi presented "Chopstick," a song she co-wrote with DTAP specifically for the competition. Inspired by the symbolism of chopsticks in Vietnamese culture, the song conveyed a message of unity, friendship, and the power of connection between Asian countries and territories. DTAP incorporated the sound of breaking chopsticks in the opening, along with traditional instruments like the dan bau and dan tranh. She performed the song in English, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
In the latter part of the performance, 30 children in traditional attire from various Asian countries joined Phuong My Chi on stage, captivating the audience. Judge Zhang Liangying praised the Vietnamese singer's meticulous and well-prepared performance. "She not only put meaning into the music but also into the entire presentation. Phuong My Chi challenged herself by performing a very difficult song. I was delighted to hear this song in the finals," the Chinese diva said.
Hong Kong music producer Au Dinh Ngoc remarked: "She didn't come to compete; she came to perform a live show. Everything was impeccable. If I were in Vietnam, I would ask to be her producer."
Phuong My Chi scored 406.8 points, placing third overall, just 0.8 points behind the second-place finisher, Chu Phi Ca. The competition's winner was Miyuna, with 411 points.
"I tried my best. If I hadn't participated in Sing! Asia, I wouldn't have created 'Chopstick.' I'm content with everything," Phuong My Chi stated.
During her nearly two months in the competition, the Gen Z vocalist impressed audiences by blending culture and contemporary music. She consistently outperformed her rivals, earning praise from judges Zhang Liangying and Alec Su. Beyond her vocal talent, she added unique touches to each performance, such as incorporating Vovinam martial arts in "Buon Trang," featuring the traditional Vietnamese drum dance in a medley of northern folk songs ("Ba Cong Di Cho Troi Mua," "Ly Cay Da," "Ba Rang Ba Ri," "Day Xe Bo"), and showcasing her rapping skills in "Vu Tru Co Anh."
