She beat 29 contestants to win the trophy, announced at the awards gala on the evening of 23/8. When the MC announced the winner, Phuong My Chi was overwhelmed with joy amidst the congratulations of the other contestants and the audience. The singer won a prize of 500 million VND (approximately 21,000 USD).
During the moment of recognition, Phuong My Chi burst into tears. She said, "After 12 years in the arts, I am extremely grateful for the love from my fans. Today is a wonderful day. I have witnessed many firework displays on stage, but today that moment is for me".
In the final stage, she said she wanted to cherish the memories with her colleagues and the audience, and no longer focused on the competition. Looking back at the performances in the competition, Phuong My Chi is happy to have incorporated many traditional art forms such as hat boi (classical Vietnamese opera) and xam (a form of Vietnamese folk music), bringing folk music closer to young people. "I have no regrets because all the goals I set for the show have been achieved", she said.
Phuong My Chi's parents, who were in the audience watching the program, said they got "goosebumps" when they heard the final results. They were moved when they heard their daughter's speech and felt her maturity.
MC Tran Thanh and the contestants agreed that Phuong My Chi's victory was well-deserved. Throughout the show's 14 episodes, she demonstrated her talent and versatility. My Chi had taken on the role of team captain in various rounds, delivering impressive performances such as Cam ky thi hoa (The Four Arts), He (The Clown), and Duyen (Charm).
Phuong My Chi rose to fame at the age of 10 after winning the runner-up title in The Voice Kids Vietnam 2013, creating a sensation with her performance of "Que em mua nuoc lu" (My Homeland in the Flood Season) by Tien Luan. Over 10 years in her singing career, she has released numerous music videos and albums such as "Thuong ve mien Trung" (Love for the Central Region) (2017), "16 xuan trang" (16 Spring Moons) (2019), and "Bat nha thuyen" (The Eightfold Path Boat) (2020). In 2023, she released the album "Vu tru co bay" (The Stork's Universe), inspired by Vietnamese literary works. She has also acted in films like "Hai lua" (Two Grains of Rice) (2014), "Nha gia tien" (The Ancestral Home) (2025), and the web drama "Tiem hoa di ghe" (The Stepmother's Flower Shop). In July, Phuong My Chi won 3rd place in the Sing! Asia competition, with many performances promoting Vietnamese culture that impressed domestic and international audiences.
The runner-up of the program is LyHan, a newcomer to the music scene. On the show, she was dubbed the "dancing machine" by the audience, with many breakthrough performances, gradually attracting a large fan base. Her real name is Tran Thao Linh, 26 years old, from Thanh Hoa. In 2018, she participated in the TV show The Debut but was not successful. Later, LyHan became more known to the public through collaborative projects with Hoang Ton in the song "Tinh yeu ngu yen" (Sleeping Love) and Osad in the MV "Yeu sac yeu" (Love Both Beauty and Weakness). Previously, LyHan was mainly active on social media, with nearly two million followers on her TikTok account.
She said that at first, she joined the show with nervousness, thinking that she had to compete with many people. However, by the end of the show, LyHan no longer felt that way, but viewed her fellow contestants as colleagues who helped her grow. "My childhood dream was to become a singer, and the audience has made that dream come true, and it's very beautiful", she said.
The three remaining members in the Best 5 are Bich Phuong, Orange, and Lamoon.
The organizers also awarded prizes for several categories: Most listened to and viewed song on multiple platforms: "Khong dau nua roi" (No More Pain) (performed by Chau Bui, 25Hz, Orange, My My). Excellent Team Captain (voted by contestants): Bich Phuong. Most impressive music creation: 52Hz. Most impressive transformation: Phuong Ly. Most impressive performance: Anh Sang AZA. Most creative group performance: AAA (Alliance 2 led by Tien Tien).
The show "Em xinh say hi", which aims to "find the new generation of female idols for Vietnamese music", has been airing since the end of May, with 14 episodes. 30 contestants were divided into alliances, competing directly through performances in the form of music groups.
The program is considered one of the highlights of the music scene so far this year. The contestants have created many explosive performances, reaching YouTube's trending list and generating significant discussion on digital platforms.
Many Gen Z faces, who are also newcomers to the music industry, such as Muoi, Lamoon, Anh Sang Aza, LyHan, and Dao Tu A1J, had the opportunity to connect with the audience. Bich Phuong, Bao Anh, Tien Tien, and Miu Le—experienced singers—presented fresh images, rediscovering their passion for their craft after a period of absence.
The program was produced by the same unit that successfully organized the "Anh trai say hi" program in mid-2024. After the final ranking, the participating singers will hold their first concert, taking place on 13/9 in TP HCM.
