Piaget, the Swiss luxury watch and jewelry brand, has unveiled two new khaki green designs in its renowned Altiplano ultra-thin watch collection.

The Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon (pictured) is one of the world's thinnest tourbillon watches, measuring a mere 2 mm thick, equivalent to a coin. This design combines a cobalt alloy case, gold details, and bridges that cover half the dial in green.

The other model, the Altiplano Ultimate Automatic, also known as the Altiplano 910P, is only 4.3 mm thick. The 910P is almost entirely enveloped in green, with a gold case chosen to accentuate the khaki hue. Artisans continuously vary the finishing, contrasting the sunburst surfaces of the 910P with the sandblasted finish of the A.U.C. Tourbillon, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of both models. Piaget's philosophy dictates that a watch should not merely be a reliable timekeeping instrument, but also a canvas for artistic expression.

Both watches feature an openwork structure (partially revealing the movement's components on the dial) with an attractive color scheme. The manufacturer describes the pair as "the pinnacle of elegant design and technical innovation." The detailed yet visually appealing design, achieved through balanced proportions, refined color combinations, and materials, distinguishes the Altiplano Ultimate watches from other technically driven timepieces.

Founded in 1874 by Georges-Edouard Piaget as a producer of movements and intricate components for timepieces, the brand achieved global recognition with the successful creation of the ultra-thin 9P movement in 1957 and the 12P in 1960. Piaget thus established itself as a specialist in ultra-thin watches, setting new standards for the billion-dollar Swiss watch industry.

This position was further solidified in 2020 when the 2 mm thick Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept (A.U.C.) won the "Aiguille d'Or" – the highest honor at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve. In 2024, the brand from La Cote-aux-Fees, Switzerland, continued to impress with the release of the Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon, successfully integrating a tourbillon into the ultra-thin prototype from 4 years prior.
