Quoc Thien allocates concert proceeds to plant 10,000 trees

Singer Quoc Thien will use profits from his "Skynote 2025 - The Reflection" concert in Ho Chi Minh City to plant 10,000 trees in six forests.

Following two live concerts in Hanoi and Da Lat (Lam Dong) last year, Quoc Thien will hold his third concert in Ho Chi Minh City on 22/11. At a press conference on 22/9, he announced the concert is expected to draw 10,000 attendees. Profits from ticket sales will fund tree planting in the following forests: Cuc Phuong (Ninh Binh), Phong Dien (Hue), Ta Kou (Lam Dong), Mua Xuan (Can Gio), U Minh Ha, and De Bien Tay (Ca Mau).

The singer is partnering with a nature conservation center to plant and care for the trees from December of this year to 6/2026. "Beyond music, I participate in community activities and charitable work, demonstrating an artist's social responsibility," Quoc Thien said.

He chose "The Reflection" as the concert theme because, for him, music is not just about singing but also about storytelling and self-reflection. "I believe that when the audience listens to my music, they will see a part of themselves in me, and vice versa," he explained.

Organizing a large-scale concert for the third time, Thien feels the pressure to create something new and different. He has invited two renowned music figures, Hoai Sa and SlimV, to serve as music directors. "Hoai Sa excels in emotionally rich ballad arrangements, while SlimV is known for EDM and pop. I believe they will create a diverse musical landscape for the concert," Quoc Thien shared.

The show will be divided into three segments: ballads that have marked Quoc Thien's 20-year singing career, new songs, and collaborations with guest artists: Ho Ngoc Ha, Mono, and Bui Cong Nam.

Quoc Thien, 37, from Dong Nai, was the winner of Vietnam Idol 2008. He has released several albums, including "Vi ta qua yeu," "Hat cung toi," and "Quoc Thien Collection." In 10/2018, he explored classic Vietnamese music. In 2020, his music video "Van su tuy duyen" garnered tens of millions of views on YouTube. He is also loved for his covers of hits like "Ngay mai nguoi ta lay chong" (Dong Thien Duc) and "Canh hong phai" (Duong Khac Linh). In 2023, he gained attention for participating in the show "Anh trai vuot ngan chong gai."
