At the end of July, the singer released the album The Shadow and a collection of essays titled Bong bong oi bay len!, marking 35 years in the music industry and reflecting on life. Hien Thuc says she is now focused on peace and building a happy future with her daughter.

Instead of worrying about finding a partner, the singer focuses on enjoying the small joys of everyday life like exercising, reading, shopping, and traveling. She also frequently shares moments with her daughter, her dog, and everyday stories on social media.

Hien Thuc became a single mother at 21. Looking back on raising her daughter alone, the singer says it was "the right and happiest decision" of her life. She is proud to see her daughter grow into a mature young woman. "My daughter Gia Bao is my greatest comfort, making my single life far from empty," she says.

Hien Thuc and her daughter are like best friends, confiding in each other about everything. She shares her joys and sorrows with her daughter, and in return, Gia Bao tells her mother about her relationships and studies. The singer once looked into schools for her daughter to study abroad in the US. However, she was surprised when her daughter chose to study for four years at a university in Vietnam to be close to her family.

Initially, her daughter chose event management but later switched to fashion design. Now, Gia Bao designs and styles clothes for her mother, both for performances and everyday wear. Hien Thuc says she is happy to wear her daughter's creations. She poses in her daughter's outfits, takes photos, and shares them online.

According to Hien Thuc, when her daughter was younger, she used discipline. As Gia Bao entered her teenage years, she shifted to a gentler approach, patiently explaining and conversing. "Raising a child alone, I learned to have both the decisiveness and strength of a father and the gentleness of a mother. I try to create good things for my daughter but not spoil her," the singer says.

Hien Thuc is open about her daughter's love life. She often talks to Gia Bao about love and marriage, hoping her daughter has a more fulfilling romantic life than she did. She encourages her daughter to experience young love, because "you don't have to marry everyone you date." Gia Bao has had a few relationships, and the singer knows about all of her daughter's boyfriends.

The singer has said she hopes her daughter earns a lot of money so she can put her mother in a 5-star nursing home later in life. "I don't want to be a burden to my daughter, and I want to maintain my freedom and independence in old age," Hien Thuc says.

Besides her daughter, Hien Thuc considers her dog, Bom, a companion. When filming the music video Xuan ha thu dong from the CD The Shadow, the singer had her pet by her side.

The singer continues to perform, both to satisfy her passion and as a source of income for herself and her family. She says she's used to living alone and isn't concerned about romantic relationships, preferring freedom and independence.

Hien Thuc, originally from Ho Chi Minh City, has been involved in the arts since childhood. She was a member of the Son Ca team at the District 1 Children's House, along with Ngoc Linh, Diem Quyen, and Quang Vinh. At 16, she was the top graduate of the Intermediate Vocal Music program at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music (in the same class as My Tam and Pham Thanh Thao).

The singer is loved for many songs, such as: Cau chuyen tinh toi (Nguyen Kim Tuan), Mo mot hanh phuc (Pham Khanh Hung), Nhu van con day (Phuc Truong), Yeu dau theo gio bay (Nguyen Hoang Duy), Nhat ky cua me (Nguyen Van Chung). She has been a judge on many game shows, such as The Voice Kids, Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids, and Tuyet dinh song ca.
