Set after the three seasons of The Mandalorian on Disney+, the spin-off follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), a Mandalorian mercenary, hired by remnants of the Empire to capture Grogu, a child of Yoda's species. However, Djarin develops a paternal bond with Grogu and decides to protect him. Together, they embark on adventures and face new adversaries.
In the trailer released on 22/9, Din Djarin is tasked by Colonel Ward (Sigourney Weaver), a leader of the New Republic, with a special mission. This mission leads them to the arena of Rotta the Hutt (Jeremy Allen White), the son of the notorious Jabba the Hutt. The duo also encounters various alien creatures, including the Babu Frik species from The Rise of Skywalker, Zeb Orrelios from the Star Wars Rebels series, and the AT-AT Walker war machine.
The project is helmed by director Jon Favreau, screenwriter Dave Filoni, and producer Kathleen Kennedy. In addition to the main cast, the film features Jonny Coyne as an imperial warlord.

Created by George Lucas, the Star Wars franchise began with the eponymous 1977 film and quickly became a global pop culture phenomenon. The series chronicles the adventures of characters in a distant galaxy where a mystical energy field called "the Force" governs all things.
The films have achieved both critical and commercial success, winning numerous Oscars. According to Numbers, the total box office revenue exceeds $10 billion. Despite being a classic Hollywood franchise, the series has faced challenges in recent years due to repetitive storylines and a smaller fan base in Asia compared to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
