Stars Congratulate Ngo Thanh Van on Her First Art Exhibition

Singers Hong Nhung and Doan Trang admired the artwork of actress Ngo Thanh Van and celebrated her impending motherhood on 19/7.

Singer Hong Nhung shared the joy with her junior colleague at the opening of Van's exhibition, "Initiation," in Ho Chi Minh City. She inquired about Van's health and was told that as the pregnancy progresses, her condition has stabilized, with complications like gestational diabetes and cholestasis decreasing.

Singer Doan Trang, her Swedish husband Johan Wicklund, and their daughter Sol admired the 10 paintings Van created during her pregnancy.

Xuan Lan, a close friend of Van's, was surprised to see her friend's art exhibition. She hadn't expected Van to be able to create art while experiencing the challenges of her first pregnancy. "I like how Van chose bright colors to depict the physical pain of pregnancy, suggesting her optimism and positivity," Lan said.

Van invited Hien Thuc to perform "Nhat Ky Cua Me" (A Mother's Diary) by Nguyen Van Chung, a hit song associated with Thuc.

Van said that despite having heard the song many times, she was moved to tears by Thuc's emotional performance, thinking about the moment she would meet her baby, Gao, in a few weeks.

Artist Tran Trung Linh (left) curated the exhibition and guided Van in basic painting techniques. He expressed surprise at her artistic talent and believes she could go further if she continues to pursue art.

Van's mother (third from left) said she was relieved during Van's pregnancy because Huy Tran was always there to care for her. When Van shared the news of her pregnancy, her mother cried, understanding her daughter's difficult journey to conceive through IVF.

Van expressed her growing excitement as her due date approaches. She and her husband have been busy shopping for baby supplies and enrolling in newborn care classes.

Van has achieved success as an actress, film producer, director, and entrepreneur. She gained attention with "Dong Mau Anh Hung" (The Rebel) in 2007, co-starring with Johnny Tri Nguyen. In the 2010s, she transitioned to film production, with notable works like "Tam Cam: Chuyen Chua Ke," "Co Ba Sai Gon," "Song Lang," and "Hai Phuong." Van and Huy Tran, 11 years her junior, married in Da Nang in 5/2022 after two years of dating. In early May, on their 1,000th day of marriage, she announced her pregnancy after undergoing IVF.
