The scene where Quang (right) displays his martial arts skills at the beginning of the film is one of the highlights for Steven Nguyen (34, real name Nguyen Huy, from Ho Chi Minh City). Following the success of "Mua do," which earned over 400 billion VND in 12 days, Steven Nguyen has become a name to watch.

The actor said he studied the psychology and historical details to build his character, to understand Quang's inner turmoil and struggles during wartime. The film features a scene where Quang is heartbroken witnessing innocent people perishing amidst the bombs and bullets.
To delve deeper into the role, he read novels by author Chu Lai and discussed the historical context surrounding the war with director Dang Thai Huyen.
Nguyen spent a month training in shooting at Cu Chi and practicing martial arts for the combat scenes. He followed a low-carb, high-protein diet, dropping from 75 kg to 70 kg in a month to achieve a toned physique.

Before "Mua do," Steven Nguyen was known for several web dramas, including "Hung Long Phong Ba" (2022), which garnered millions of views on YouTube. He played a member of a group of four friends from the countryside who move to the city and become entangled in the underworld.

Standing at 1.78 m with a muscular build, Steven Nguyen is often associated with action and martial arts genres.
A graduate of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema, the actor revealed he was once underestimated by teachers for his acting abilities. He struggled for a time, auditioning for roles but only being cast as an extra, having to take on a ticket-checking job to make ends meet. In 2020-2021, he participated in the web drama "Bi Long Dai Ca," after which he gained recognition and more casting opportunities.
