According to Sohu, the 52-year-old singer is preparing for a concert combined with a fan meeting in Beijing, China on 11/9, which also happens to be his birthday. The VIP ticket price is 1,500 CNY (5.5 million VND), which includes priority entry, a group photo with Su Youpeng (10 fans at a time), and a signed poster. General admission is 911 CNY (3.3 million VND) and only grants access to the concert.
On fan pages, many people complained about the difficulty of obtaining VIP tickets, with many suggesting that general admission ticket holders should also have the opportunity for a group photo with Su Youpeng.

On August 29th, the singer wrote on his personal page, "This is a concert, not a photo-op. I'm selling my art, not myself. If you don't like the music, don't come." Su Youpeng's statement became a trending topic on Weibo, with thousands criticizing the singer for being rude.
Many retorted, "You say you're not selling yourself, so why agree to take photos with VIP ticket holders?" A comment by user Tuzi, which received 4,000 likes, read, "I feel like some people who have been in showbiz for many years have forgotten their beginnings. After all, they have influence, and every word and action can create public opinion."
In response to the audience's reaction, later that evening, Su Youpeng posted an apology on his personal page, stating he was surprised by the strong reaction to his words. He wrote, "First, I apologize for my inappropriate words that upset you."
Su Youpeng admitted to posting while in a bad mood after reading negative comments on fan pages. Some, unable to purchase VIP tickets, were boycotting the concert, urging others, "If you can't take a picture with him, don't bother going."
The singer said he wanted the audience to come for the music, for the art, not just for his "aging face."

Su Youpeng entered the entertainment industry at the age of 16 as a member of the boy band The Little Tigers, along with Nicky Wu and Julian Chen. The group gained popularity in Asia in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 1989, their management company organized a fan signing event that attracted over 50,000 fans—exceeding the organizers' expectations—and had to be canceled. The group's popularity marked the beginning of idol culture in Taiwan.
After the group disbanded in the mid-1990s, Su Youpeng transitioned to acting, becoming known for roles in "My Fair Princess," "Romance in the Rain," and the 2003 adaptation of "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber." In recent years, he has acted less, focusing on reality shows and concerts. This year, he served as a judge on the music competition Sing! Asia, which featured Phuong My Chi.
