According to Ngo Ba Hoang, "Fruitful" is a gentle love song of nature and the soul. Two red-crowned cranes lean on each other, facing one another, signifying a bond that has formed. The vase has a traditional shape, a slightly flared mouth, and a tall, upright cylindrical body, symbolizing nobility, longevity, and fortune. |
The work "Together" evokes the harmony of pure love through the image of a pair of white cranes.
Artist Ngo Ba Hoang says he is fascinated by ceramics because of its diverse language of expression. He has experimented with various types, such as red earthenware and white porcelain with overglaze painting. In recent years, he has begun to incorporate painting techniques into ceramics, including the layering of classical oil painting, the grinding and gilding of traditional Vietnamese lacquer work, and the spontaneous flow of ceramic glaze.

The work "Life Force" has a unique shape, sculpted like a pregnant woman with stretch marks across her body. Prominently featured is the image of a curled-up baby surrounded by white lotus petals. Artist Van Duong Thanh observes: "The warm color palette – brown, turmeric yellow, orange, and green – creates a space that is both fairytale-like and primal." |
The vase "Leisure 2" has a small mouth and broad shoulders that rise high. The image of two carp swimming among lotus flowers represents prosperity and peace in Eastern culture.
Ngo Ba Hoang primarily uses glazes with a metallic oxide base, which, when fired at high temperatures, spontaneously form random colors that blend together, creating an ethereal effect.
