The brothers ignite the seventh concert

For over six hours, the artists energized "Call Me By Fire Vietnam" with several songs performed live for the first time.

Tens of thousands of fans filled the venue on the evening of 6/9. Compared to the previous six concerts, this one offered new elements through four elaborate performances: My Husband is Number One, a medley of Children's Songs, Lockdown, and Going Out Dancing. Throughout the show, fans cheered, bounced, and danced, supporting the artists.

From left: Rhymastic, Binz, and Kien Ung, along with other singers, thrilled the audience with their rendition of "Going Out Dancing" (composed by Tien Cookie and Pham Thanh Ha).

From left: Tu Long, Cuong Seven, Thanh Duy, and Soobin performing "My Husband is Number One" (composed by Don Nguyen).

They sported 1970s-inspired attire with fitted t-shirts and flared pants, showcasing hip shakes and flexible moves to the upbeat music.

Many attendees were impressed by the stage design during the performance of "Rain on Hue Street," featuring a giant purple conical hat descending from above as the singers performed.

Quoc Thien performing "Autumn Nostalgia." Fans were thrilled when he stepped off the stage to shake hands with them.

Duy Nhat, Do Hoang Hiep, Truong The Vinh (from right to left), and Bang Kieu performed a medley of Children's Songs ("The Little Trumpet Team," "Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Parade," "Uncle Cuoi," and "The Banyan Tree at the Slope"). They incorporated lion dance movements, creating a joyful atmosphere. Near the end of the performance, a three-minute audio malfunction occurred. However, the audience chanted "it's okay," encouraging the artists. Fans even requested an encore.

During the song "Rice Drum," Tu Long resourcefully handled an audio glitch with an impromptu drum solo. Soobin and Cuong Seven performed a flag dance to the drumbeat.

Several songs in the program drew inspiration from folk and revolutionary music, elaborately staged with dozens of backup dancers.

S(TRONG) Trong Hieu and S.T Son Thach performed a contemporary dance in a mashup of "Dad Tells a Story," "Under the Stage Lights," and "Awakening After Winter Sleep." The performance, featuring footballer Hong Son, singer Bang Kieu, Binz, and S.T Son Thach, evoked a sense of nostalgia.

Beyond the music, the performers connected with fans through interactive segments. During the song "Suddenly Hearing Your Footsteps" (by Quoc Vuong), Binz, Tu Long, and Thanh Duy performed alongside the audience. The crew also dedicated time for audience members to cover popular dances from the show.

The organizers created a dynamic stage that could be raised and lowered, bringing the artists closer to the audience. The crew frequently used fireworks, fire columns, and smoke effects to enhance various performances. Large LED screens were set up around the venue, allowing viewers from all angles to enjoy the show. A drawback was the audio issues during some performances, which disrupted the viewing experience.

The artists will perform an eighth concert on the evening of 7/9.

"Call Me By Fire Vietnam" is adapted from the popular Chinese television show, "Call Me By Fire." The show features 33 male celebrities over 30 who work in the entertainment industry. Through various rounds, the contestants perform in groups, and the top 17 scorers form a group called the Almighty Clan. The show's producers have held four successful concerts in Ho Chi Minh City and Hung Yen. "Call Me By Fire Vietnam," along with "The Drunken Brothers," has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism as a significant cultural event of 2024. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested replicating the model of these two programs to further boost the cultural industry.
