This rivalry sparked public interest in Ellison's personal life, particularly his relationship with his current wife, 34-year-old Jolin Zhu. Information and images of Zhu remain scarce, limited to her public appearances alongside her husband.

Following the news about Zhu, many Chinese social media users dubbed her the "second Wendi Deng," referencing Rupert Murdoch's ex-wife. Her name also drew attention due to its similarity to Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai's English name. Many commented on Zhu's beauty and vibrancy, noting that Ellison appears younger in her company.

According to Hello Magazine, Ellison and Zhu have been married for about seven years, although their wedding date and how they met remain undisclosed. Born Zhu Keren in China, she moved to the US in 2010 to pursue a bachelor's degree in international studies at the University of Michigan and is now a US citizen.

Before her relationship with Ellison, she reportedly lived in a Bay Area, California, apartment with a monthly rent of around 2,600 USD. The Daily Mail reported its proximity to Oracle headquarters, sparking speculation that Zhu worked there and may have met her future husband.

Zhu gained attention after her identity was revealed in a November 2024 post by her alma mater, as reported by SCMP. The Champions Circle booster group announced a multi-million dollar contract with quarterback Bryce Underwood for the university's football team. They thanked "Larry and his wife, Jolin" for providing "valuable guidance and financial resources" that facilitated the deal, mentioning Zhu's alumni status.

Zhu's life before marrying Ellison remains largely unknown. Despite not publicly discussing his wife's background, Ellison has been seen with her at sporting events since 2018. While unconfirmed reports about her family background have surfaced from individuals claiming to know her, none have been verified.

Zhu reportedly resides in Ellison's 110 million USD California mansion. Public records also show her registered to vote in Florida, where the businessman owns a 173 million USD property.

According to The Sun, the marriage ended due to his lavish spending. In 1977, he married Nancy Wheeler Jenkins after a year of dating, divorcing six months later.

In 1983, he married Barbara Boothe; they had two children before separating in 1986. Both children are now film producers. Seventeen years later, he married novelist Melanie Croft, with Steve Jobs photographing their wedding. This marriage lasted seven years. He later dated Ukrainian actress and model Nikita Kahn, 47 years his junior. While the timing of their marriage is uncertain, they reportedly separated in 2016, finalizing their divorce in 2020.
