Duong Gia, a director and martial arts choreographer, died on 23/6 after falling from a balcony. According to On, he had been struggling with negative emotions and worry over his wife's coma, telling his son he "wanted to rest with his wife." Their joint funeral will take place on 14/7.
The couple married in 1969 and had two children. In the 1980s, they moved to Canada but returned to Hong Kong after finding it unsuitable. They were deeply devoted to each other, always caring for one another.

Many fellow artists mourned the couple. Wong Cho Lam shared that while working with Tuyet Ni, he felt her kindness and affection. Actress Wai Ying Hung revealed that Tuyet Ni was a role model when she first entered the entertainment industry. "Through her actions, Tuyet Ni showed me that I could achieve my goals through my own efforts," Wai Ying Hung wrote on her social media.
Tuyet Ni, whose real name was Ly Sieu Thuan, was born in 1947 and began acting in the 1960s. She was a prominent martial arts star in Hong Kong cinema, known for films like "The Lady General Hua Mulan", "The Avenging Fist", "Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre", "Killer Sword", "Tathagata's Palm", and "One-Armed Swordsman".

In the 1990s, she joined TVB, portraying many beloved characters, including Co Ngoc Mi in "A Place of Greater Love", Trinh Song Song in "Old Time Buddy", Ly Bich Tran in "The Drive of Life", Ha Tang Cuc in "Yummy Yummy", La Tue Khanh in "Heart of Greed", and Ha Thanh Thanh in "The Brink". She retired from acting in 2022.
