According to Sohu, Yu Menglong's management company confirmed his death on 11/9 in Beijing. Police have ruled out foul play.
Sanxiang News reported that on the evening of 10/9, the actor was dining with friends at an acquaintance's home in Beijing. He later retired to a bedroom, locking the door. Around 6 a.m. on 11/9, when the others left the apartment, Yu was not in his room. A friend subsequently discovered his body on the ground below.
Yu Menglong had over 26 million followers on Weibo. His last post, on 29/8, featured photos of flowers, trees, and a river during a leisurely stroll. The post received over 17,000 comments.

Born in Xinjiang in 1988, Yu Menglong pursued his passion for the arts from a young age. In 2007, he participated in a music talent show organized by Dongfang TV, reaching the top 16. 2015 marked a turning point in his career when his song "Go Home for the New Year" became a hit, resonating with young people celebrating the Lunar New Year.
That same year, his role in the popular drama "Go Princess Go" propelled him to fame in China and across Asia.

In 2016, Yu Menglong gained further recognition for his portrayal of Bai Zhen in the hit drama "Eternal Love," starring alongside Yang Mi and Mark Chao. In his final years, he appeared in several television series, including "Love in Two Lives," "The Starry Night, The Starry Sea," "Handsome Siblings," and "Lin Jiang Xian." He completed filming on three projects, one of which, "Wind from the Desert," received broadcast approval in 8/2025. A release date has yet to be announced.
Yu Menglong was associated with two companies. One ceased registration in 2024, and the other stopped operations in 7/2025.
