The year 2026 marks V-Medical's 20th anniversary. Reflecting on the journey, Ms. Phan Huyen Van, founder and CEO, expressed surprise mixed with nostalgia at how far the initial operating model has come. In the 2000s, Vietnam's aesthetic market was nascent, with services primarily fragmented, lacking synchronized standards, and struggling to build customer trust. With a passion for beauty, Ms. Van harbored a dream of bringing effective global solutions to Vietnam. Like many other establishments, V-Medical faced its share of initial challenges and difficulties.

Starting as a center specializing in treating acne, folliculitis, and hyperpigmentation issues, CEO Huyen Van and the V-Medical medical team soon encountered many individuals and witnessed numerous cases of complications arising from unregulated beauty procedures. This experience fueled their continuous efforts to seek safe, science-based solutions.
Over the past two decades, the demand for beauty services among Vietnamese people has rapidly increased, leading to a diverse range of aesthetic methods. While some services help both women and men improve their appearance and confidence, the market has also seen many unverified solutions with potential health risks. In this context, people are increasingly discerning, focusing on scientific, sustainable, and long-term effective factors rather than immediate results.
During the period of 2006-2009, V-Medical operated on a compact scale, focusing on serving customers in inner-city areas while accumulating practical experience through each skin treatment case.
From 2010 to 2018, V-Medical gradually integrated high-tech equipment, prioritizing practical effectiveness and safety. The machines underwent rigorous inspection by international organizations such as the FDA (United States) and CE (Europe). Specifically, starting in 2009, the center began using Elight Syneron Candela RF technology; in 2010, it deployed the Lightsheer Duet 4G Lumenis (United States) hair removal system; and in 2015, it added laser lines for melasma treatment, such as Revlite, completing its service portfolio.
Alongside equipment investment, the clinic advanced process standardization in line with medical guidelines. Since 2018, the management has continuously updated new aesthetic technologies, such as lasers and energy-based devices, while refining treatment protocols based on clinical evidence and the characteristics of Vietnamese skin.
"We do not chase short-term beauty trends but remain steadfast in our philosophy of science-based beauty. Each treatment regimen is built upon an understanding of skin structure, aging mechanisms, and medical evidence. Doctors directly examine, analyze individual conditions and needs to create in-depth, personalized protocols, not generic ones," explained CEO Phan Huyen Van.

The personalized process extends beyond initial consultation, with continuous monitoring before, during, and after treatment. This approach aims to mitigate risks and optimize long-term effectiveness for clients.
From 2019 to the present, the center has significantly invested in high-tech systems, including many devices worth millions of USD, enhancing the effectiveness of non-invasive aesthetic treatments and optimizing customer experience. Notable among these are Ultherapy Prime (using focused ultrasound waves for non-surgical lifting and improved skin firmness), Thermage FLX (applying monopolar RF waves to firm skin and reduce sagging), and Cooltech (selective cooling technology for localized fat reduction and body contouring).
While expanding its technology, over two decades, the clinic has maintained a principle of screening equipment at each development stage, ensuring suitability with actual customer needs and professional orientation.
According to BSCKI Danh Bao Hoang Vu, V-Medical's professional director, before deployment, technologies are evaluated for effectiveness and safety, meeting a range of international standards such as FDA and CE, and are licensed according to Ministry of Health regulations.

In Clinics in Dermatology, experts emphasize that in aesthetic dermatology, equipment and technology are only part of the equation; effectiveness depends on the doctor's experience and capability. A PubMed study also noted a higher complication rate when procedures were not performed by doctors, indicating that expertise is a crucial factor in safety and aesthetic outcomes.
At V-Medical, services are performed by a team of licensed doctors with many years of experience in dermatological treatments and aesthetic medicine. Doctors are involved throughout the entire process, from examination and protocol development to post-treatment follow-up.
After 20 years of operation, V-Medical has performed thousands of beauty procedures, establishing a methodical direction in aesthetic medicine. Moving forward, the center will remain steadfast in its chosen philosophy, continuously updating new methods verified by the FDA and CE.
"The 20-year journey is not just about growth in scale but also about shaping a sustainable direction – where beauty is linked to science, safety, and long-term effectiveness," added BSCKI Danh Bao Hoang Vu.
