The child accidentally swallowed the watch buckle and was taken to 22/12 Hospital on 21/8. Doctors identified the foreign object, about 2 cm long, had passed the stomach and lodged in the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine. This could potentially damage the child's digestive tract lining.

Endoscopy doctors performed the removal. The buckle was deep in the duodenum, a more challenging location to access than the esophagus or stomach. Its curved and rigid shape required doctors to operate with precision and caution to minimize mucosal abrasion.
The patient's health is now stable after the procedure, and she remains under observation.
