The program series, which began in November, commemorates the hospital's 24th anniversary. It represents a key social initiative to bring international-standard ophthalmology services closer to the community.
A central focus of the anniversary month was a collaborative program with the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee and various wards and communes, including Dien Hong, Vuon Lai, Binh Tri Dong, Binh Tay, and Can Gio. This initiative took place within the framework of the Great National Unity Festival and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front. At these examination points, over 20,000 people of various ages received vision tests, cataract screenings, refractive error checks, and specialized eye care consultations. This effort helped detect and facilitate early treatment for potential eye abnormalities.

Additionally, the hospital expanded its eye examination program to major agencies and educational institutions across the city. At Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV), over 300 staff members, reporters, and technicians – a group frequently working under high-intensity lighting – received direct examinations and consultations. The hospital also visited the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, providing eye screenings and guidance on eye care and protection for all students and lecturers within their unique learning and design environment. The unit further partnered with Victory International School (affiliated with the Philippine Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City) to conduct school myopia screenings and vision tests for over 200 students and teachers.

The series of activities concluded with a free eye examination and screening program at Ben Thanh Metro Station, attracting nearly 1,000 participants. This allowed commuters convenient access to free screening services during their travels.
Nguyen Quoc Anh, the hospital's Chief Executive Officer, shared that the 24th anniversary marks a special milestone for the institution. "Throughout this journey, we have continuously enhanced professional quality, invested in treatment technology, and expanded our community outreach activities. The hospital's goal is to bring modern, safe, international-standard ophthalmology services to more people," Nguyen Quoc Anh stated.

In parallel with its medical examination and treatment activities, the hospital implements solutions for controlling school myopia in Vietnam. Over 24 years, the hospital's myopia control program has supported one million children, helping to reduce the risk of severe myopia, amblyopia, and future complications. This stands as one of the hospital's most significant achievements, reflecting its long-term, sustainable development direction in pediatric ophthalmology.
A representative from Cao Thang Eye Hospital shared that the activities during the 24th-anniversary month not only express gratitude to the community but also affirm the hospital's extensive operational history and continuous innovation over two decades. "With a sustainable development orientation, we will continue to expand access to international-standard ophthalmology services for all citizens, contributing to a healthy community with better awareness of vision care," the representative stated.
