SotaMed, an AI medical platform developed by SotaTek Vietnam, digitizes the entire patient journey. Before arriving at a hospital, individuals can book appointments online via the website or application. This initial information synchronization helps reduce administrative time and mitigate congestion at reception desks.
During medical examination and treatment, data from electronic health records, laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and payments are connected within a single ecosystem. The PACS-AI solution, which manages images according to DICOM and Non-DICOM standards, and the LIS-AI solution, which manages laboratory tests, seamlessly integrate via international healthcare connectivity standards like HL7. SotaMed directly connects with hospitals' existing management software, synchronizing results to the cloud. This eliminates the need for printing films and paper, allowing doctors to access information faster and reducing data fragmentation across departments.

After examinations, results and treatment history are digitally stored, enabling patients to easily retrieve information. This creates a continuous data flow, replacing previous fragmented systems. The platform also connects directly with the health insurance portal, the national resident database, and other interoperable information gateways. This supports the digital transformation roadmap being implemented in many localities.
Beyond data connectivity, artificial intelligence (AI) within the SotaMed ecosystem functions as a virtual assistant. Rather than replacing human staff, AI is designed to handle repetitive manual tasks, allowing medical professionals to dedicate more time to their core expertise in patient care.

Within SotaMed, AI is integrated into various operational stages. Speech recognition technology converts doctors' dictations into text reports, reducing data entry time. In diagnostic imaging, AI automatically analyzes data from CT and MRI scans, identifies anomalies, and provides reference information, assisting doctors in quickly and accurately assessing injuries. For laboratory testing, AI algorithms screen and process data automatically, accelerating the turnaround of results from the lab to clinical departments.
Digital transformation in healthcare extends beyond merely equipping facilities with standalone software. The true objective is to build interconnected platforms across all levels of medical examination and treatment to leverage vast amounts of data. When information flows smoothly, patients benefit from a seamless experience, and medical professionals are relieved of operational pressures, establishing a solid foundation for enhancing long-term healthcare quality.
