Japanese model's X-ray photo draws 43 million views

Kokoro Toyoshima's lung X-ray unexpectedly went viral on social media, revealing her alluring physique and attracting tens of millions of views in just two days.

The incident began on 23/1 when Japanese model Kokoro Toyoshima, 22, posted a lung X-ray on social media platform X. Her brief accompanying message, "My lungs are very clear," was intended to update fans on her health, Oricon News reported.

However, the black-and-white image quickly went viral, garnering over 43 million views and 58,000 likes by 25/1. The primary draw was not the medical findings but the clear skeletal structure and body curves the X-ray revealed. Many viewers remarked on how unusual it was for an X-ray to so fully capture the subject's physique, particularly the idol's well-known H-cup chest.

Thousands of comments expressed surprise at the unusual image. "Even an X-ray exudes charm," one user remarked. Beyond the compliments on her appearance, some medically informed viewers also warned Toyoshima about mild scoliosis the X-ray revealed, advising her to adjust her posture to protect her health.

Scoliosis, as suspected in Toyoshima's case, is not uncommon among young individuals. This condition frequently affects office workers or artists who often maintain constrained postures, wear high heels, or carry heavy objects on one side.

Orthopedic doctors state that a frontal chest X-ray is an effective tool for early detection of skeletal abnormalities, in addition to examining lung parenchyma, heart, and rib cage. A normal spine in a frontal X-ray appears as a straight line from the neck to the sacrum. If vertebrae are rotated or misaligned to the left or right, it signals scoliosis.

At a mild level (Cobb angle under 20 degrees), patients typically experience little pain but are prone to back, shoulder, and neck fatigue from prolonged sitting. Without posture correction and exercise, the condition can worsen with age, causing chronic pain, early degeneration, and potentially affecting respiratory function due to chest deformation.

Through Toyoshima's case, experts recommend that individuals utilize regular health check-ups to thoroughly screen their musculoskeletal system. If a chest X-ray shows signs of spinal curvature, patients should undergo a full-spine X-ray. This allows a specialist to accurately assess the severity and provide timely treatment.

Born in 2003, Kokoro Toyoshima entered the entertainment industry in 2023. She quickly gained fame for her 1,67 m height and alluring figure, working as both a photo model and actress. Toyoshima recently drew attention for her role in the live-action adaptation of the film My Dress-Up Darling.
