On 23/4, a representative from Viet-Han Da Nang Hospital reported that a patient presented with right hypochondriac pain and poor appetite. CT scan and MRI results revealed a 7x8 cm tumor in the left liver.
The patient had a history of chronic hepatitis B virus infection. Following a consultation, the General Surgery department team decided to perform laparoscopic surgery to remove the liver segment containing the tumor.

Dr. Tran Van Do, Head of the General Surgery Department, stated that laparoscopic liver resection is a complex technique offering small incisions, less pain, reduced complications, and a shorter hospital stay for patients. Post-surgery, the patient's health is stable, and pathology results confirmed liver cancer.
Liver cancer often progresses silently, making early detection difficult. Individuals with risk factors, such as hepatitis B or C infection or alcohol abuse, should proactively undergo regular health check-ups for timely detection and treatment.
