In the past 24 hours, hospitals nationwide received over 4,000 emergency visits related to traffic accidents, bringing the total number of emergency cases over the five days from 14/2 to 19/2 to 18,255.
Twenty-eight people died from traffic accidents in the past 24 hours. Over the five-day Tet holiday, 123 traffic-related deaths were recorded, with nearly 5,600 patients still undergoing treatment.
Compared to the Tet At Ty 2025 holiday, this year's Tet saw a slight increase in traffic accident emergency visits, but a decreasing trend in hospitalizations and deaths, according to the Ministry of Health.

During the five-day Tet holiday, the country welcomed 11,013 newborns. The Ministry of Health also recorded 432 emergency visits for food poisoning and digestive disorders, with no mass food poisoning incidents reported. Accidents suspected to be caused by firecrackers also decreased compared to last year's Tet.
The health sector noted some cases of dengue fever, hand, foot, and mouth disease, and measles in recent days, with no diphtheria or streptococcus suis outbreaks.
The Ministry of Health assessed that medical examination and treatment during Tet were seriously and synchronously implemented. Healthcare facilities adequately stocked blood, medicine, biological products, and intravenous fluids, ensuring smooth emergency and treatment operations throughout the holiday.
