In April, Sai Gon Eye Hospital - with 19 hospitals and clinics nationwide and continuing to expand - was the first in Vietnam to implement the EyeSignature personalized vision correction technology. This solution designs a laser refractive correction plan based on an individual’s 3D corneal map, developed on Schwind’s advanced technology platform. This technology treats higher-order aberrations - microscopic irregularities in the eye that cause glare and halos at night, or the ability to see objects but with poor contrast and lack of sharpness.
Mr. Domenic von Planta stated that the trend of personalization in refractive treatment is currently growing strongly globally - especially in the US, Europe, Singapore, and China. "Schwind is proud to witness this trend being effectively implemented in Vietnam, with the collaboration of Sai Gon Eye Hospital’s medical team," Mr. Domenic von Planta said.

The milestone of 1,000 successful EyeSignature treatments across Vietnam affirms the expertise of Sai Gon Eye Hospital’s team and the trust patients place in the system. Many patients reported achieving 10/10 vision within one to three days after surgery, with some even reaching 12/10 and experiencing superior visual clarity, free from the glare and halos at night often associated with other vision correction technologies.
