Technologies driving non-invasive aesthetics in Vietnam

Non-invasive aesthetic solutions, leveraging high-frequency technology, collagen regeneration, and neuro-muscular effects, are increasingly preferred over more invasive methods.

At the BTL Regional Summit & Awards Gala 2025, held in late November, experts noted a shift in Vietnam's aesthetic market towards more structured and mature development. Concurrently, consumer demand for beauty treatments is prioritizing non-invasive, science-backed procedures.

In this evolving landscape, BTL Aesthetics is advancing the development of non-invasive aesthetic solutions grounded in scientific research. Established in 1993, BTL boasts over 30 years of experience in biomedical and aesthetic technology, featuring European-standard research and production systems and over 500,000 devices in use across many countries.

Each solution from BTL is built upon research and clinical validation. One technology currently used in Vietnam is EMFACE, a device that simultaneously combines high-frequency electromagnetic waves (RF) and high-intensity focused electromagnetic field (HIFES). RF supports collagen and elastin regeneration, while HIFES directly impacts facial muscles, enhancing tone and lifting key muscle areas.

Unlike methods focusing on the skin surface or requiring invasive injections, EMFACE simultaneously targets both muscle structure and skin quality. This improves firmness and facial contours without causing pain or requiring recovery time.

According to data released by BTL, the company has conducted over 17 scientific studies, with more projects ongoing. Clinical results have shown improvements in the lower face, nasolabial folds, jawline, and eye area. Over 95% of users reported that the treatment was quick, painless, and delivered noticeable changes post-treatment.

Beyond aesthetics, BTL has expanded into mental healthcare with EXOMIND technology. This device utilizes ExoTMS, a form of mild transcranial magnetic stimulation, which targets brain regions associated with emotional regulation, cognition, and stress adaptation.

Clinical outcomes indicate that 88% of users experienced an improvement in overall mental well-being, 81% felt more positive, 78% reported better sleep and stress management, and 75% noted increased energy levels.

During the BTL Regional Summit & Awards Gala 2025, beauty blogger An Phuong and model and actress Emma Le experienced EMFACE and EXOMIND, sharing positive feedback on the treatments' effectiveness. Emma Le stated that EMFACE felt like a workout for her facial muscles, while EXOMIND helped her body relax and alleviated mental pressure.

An Phuong also noted a clear improvement in her smile lines after a short trial period, and she found EXOMIND to be relaxing and re-energizing.

Additionally, the organizers honored BTL Aesthetics' partners in the Asia-Pacific region. This year's APAC Hall of Fame Award recipients included: NuMe Clinic (Hong Kong, China), The Aivee Clinic and Belo Medical Group (Philippines), TRAYCE Laser & Skincare (Vietnam), Medicskin Medical Skincare Centre (Hong Kong, China), The Queen (Myanmar), Estelab Clinic (Russia), and Mira Clinic (Australia).

Experts predict that the trend of integrating beauty and mental wellness will continue to grow as consumers increasingly focus on comprehensive quality of life. Science-based, safe, and clinically validated aesthetic solutions will gain further preference.

"With technologies like EMFACE and EXOMIND, BTL Aesthetics can help shape a new approach to the aesthetic industry in Vietnam, where beauty extends beyond appearance enhancement to encompass long-term and sustainable health," said a representative of the organizing committee.
