Viethope launches U.S.-style green medical model

Viethope's medical model integrates green natural spaces and operates under international standard frameworks, aiming to improve patient treatment experiences.

Viethope specialized medical center opened and commenced operations on 21/3 in Dien Hong ward, TP HCM. The center introduces a U.S.-style green medical model, emphasizing patient experience and environmental integration in healthcare.

Unlike traditional hospitals, Viethope spans nearly 11,000 square meters with over 42% green coverage. Its ecosystem, featuring more than 1,000 individual plants, acts as a biological filter, absorbing CO2 and regenerating oxygen daily. Combined with a focus on low-emission materials, the center creates a healthcare environment aiming for a "hospital odor-free" experience. Here, nature serves not just as scenery but as an integral link in treatment protocols, helping reduce stress levels, stabilize mental well-being, and promote the body's natural recovery process.

The facility aims to operate under the AACI, U.S., standard framework, focusing on three pillars: governance, patient-centered care, and support services. This standardization ensures transparency and safety in all operations. Governance encompasses standardized management, leadership, risk management, and safety systems according to international criteria. Patient-centered care means all clinical procedures, treatment protocols, procedural safety, and infection control are designed around patient needs and experiences. Support services involve facility management, equipment, security, and fire safety, all controlled and synchronized with the green spaces and modern machinery systems.

Professionally, under the leadership of Doctor Le Thi Bich Phuong, the center's medical director, Viethope brings together a team of leading experts, including doctors and specialists well-trained both domestically and internationally. The center operates 15 specialties under a specialized disease management and health recovery model, focusing on areas such as: orthopedic trauma (lower limb specialization), neurology (focusing on dementia treatment, stroke screening, etc.), cardiology, gastroenterology, andrology, obstetrics and gynecology, etc. Notably, the center aims for personalized regenerative medicine, cancer screening, along with post-illness recovery services and comprehensive chronic disease management.

Diagnostic and treatment equipment is comprehensively invested in for modern operations. The imaging diagnostic system includes MRI 1.5 Tesla SIGNA Prime, CT Revolution Maxima (GE Healthcare), Multix Impact digital X-ray (Siemens), Philips Affiniti 70G ultrasound, along with bone densitometry and respiratory function testing devices. The endoscopy department utilizes Olympus CV-1500 and Medtrix XL-200 systems. The laboratory is automated with biochemistry, immunology, hematology, and coagulation analyzers. Additionally, the surgical and rehabilitation areas are fully equipped with specialized devices.

Sharing at the opening event, Doctor Le Thi Bich Phuong stated that a treatment case typically relies on two core factors: the professional competence of the medical team and the patient's positive experience at the healthcare facility. She emphasized, "This model aims to improve treatment experiences and contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare services in Vietnam." The facility applies modern medical technology and equipment in examination and treatment, while also creating a green environment, minimizing characteristic hospital odors. The center operates according to international standard reference procedures, with a well-trained team of doctors participating in patient care.
