The First International Cancer Treatment Forum, organized by Fosun Health, took place on 19/9 in Foshan, Guangdong province, China. The event brought together oncology and radiotherapy experts from various countries and regions to discuss precise diagnosis and treatment, advanced therapeutic technologies, and cross-border medical collaboration.

Representatives from Vietnamese medical facilities, including: Hung Vuong General Hospital and Phuong Dong General Hospital, participated in a roundtable discussion on international medical services. During the event, Fosun Health signed oncology care cooperation agreements with several Vietnamese institutions, focusing on telemedicine, expert collaboration, and patient services.

Through these agreements, the parties will further develop an international network for remote consultations and second opinions. For complex cancer cases, Vietnamese doctors can hold online discussions with Chinese medical experts, receiving multidisciplinary treatment recommendations tailored to specific conditions. Building on this, both sides are also exploring patient referral mechanisms and more convenient coordinated medical services to support individuals requiring specialized treatment in China.

This collaboration between medical facilities in both countries provides Vietnamese patients with greater access to new treatment methods such as CAR-T cell therapy and CyberKnife radiotherapy. The parties discussed CAR-T applications in cancer treatment, research advancements in China, and the potential for expanding access to this technology in the region. CyberKnife is a non-invasive radiotherapy method that uses robots and image guidance systems to focus radiation on tumors while tracking movement during treatment.

Furthermore, the remote consultation and second opinion mechanism allows some patients to receive expert assessments from Chinese specialists early in their treatment journey without needing to travel. Subsequently, "cross-border care" can be arranged based on their specific condition and medical recommendations. This model of remote evaluation combined with referrals when necessary also helps reduce unnecessary time and costs for patients.

The cooperation also aims to enhance expertise and academic exchange. Vietnamese oncologists and experts will participate in online case discussions, professional exchanges, and technical training with Chinese multidisciplinary teams. Both sides will share experiences in managing difficult cases, treatment protocols, and clinical practices, thereby improving their capacity for diagnosing and treating complex cancers and accessing new medical technologies.

Moving forward, Fosun Health will continue to leverage this cooperative platform to promote expert exchanges, telemedicine, and patient service collaboration between Chinese and Vietnamese medical facilities. The company is also gradually enhancing its cross-border medical cooperation system, providing many patients with diverse, professional, and cost-effective treatment options.
