Initial information indicates that a conflict and scuffle erupted between Thuan's group and a group led by Mai Van Hung, 18, who were drinking at a nearby table on Hung Vuong Street, Dien Hong Ward.

Around 4 a.m., Thuan and Phan Van Hoa, 24, both residents of Hrung Commune, entered the pub's counter area. They were armed with knives, machetes, and pepper spray, and repeatedly stabbed and slashed multiple individuals. Victims included the pub's manager and service staff.

The incident resulted in the death of Hung, 18, a resident of Hoi Phu Ward. Three other victims sustained multiple injuries and are currently receiving emergency treatment at Gia Lai General Hospital and Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital.
