Gambling ring transacted 350 billion VND

A ring led by Le San U, 26, organized football betting for nearly 12 months, transacting 350 billion VND.

On 17/12, the Quang Tri Provincial Police Criminal Investigation Department issued emergency detention orders, temporarily detaining Le San U and seven others for allegedly organizing gambling and engaging in online football betting.

Investigations revealed the ring included: Le San U, Nguyen Huu Long, Hoang Van Huan, Truong Van Hop from Ninh Chau commune; Tran Van Duong from Cam Hong commune; Truong Van Tuong, Truong Luu Quynh from Quang Ninh commune; Le Van Sau and Nguyen Thanh Hau from Truong Ninh commune.

Le San U is accused of leading the ring in Quang Tri province. Since early this year, the ring has transacted 350 billion VND through various gambling activities, which remain undisclosed.

The investigation is ongoing. Police urge anyone involved in the gambling ring to contact the Criminal Investigation Department to surrender.
