Hanoi police announced on 14/8 that the Security Investigation Agency has issued a special arrest warrant for 57-year-old Doan Bao Chau, a resident of Giang Vo ward.
Police identified Chau as a freelance worker.
On 30/6, Chau was charged with "Making, storing, distributing or disseminating information, documents, or items aimed at opposing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam," under Article 117, Clause 1 of the penal code.
Authorities believe Chau fled in July 2024 and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Anyone with information regarding Chau's location is asked to contact the Security Investigation Agency at 58 Vu Trong Phung Street, Thanh Xuan Ward, or their nearest police station. Information can also be submitted via the Hanoi Police Facebook page.
