Gia Lai Provincial Police detained Tran Van Hau, 54, from Phu Tuc commune, on 9/5, to investigate potential violations of road traffic regulations.
Initial findings indicate the driver's failure to control speed while navigating a curve led to loss of steering control, causing the severe accident.

The incident occurred yesterday morning when Hau was driving a Hung Phuong passenger vehicle on National Highway 25, traveling from Gia Lai towards Kon Tum. At To Na Pass, located in Phum hamlet, Uar commune, the car unexpectedly overturned and veered off the road's left side.
The accident claimed the life of Vo Thi Huong, 75, of Phu Tuc commune, at the scene. Nguyen Viet Hoa, 46, and Le Kim Hung, 37, later succumbed to their injuries at Krong Pa Medical Center. Three other passengers suffered broken ribs, as well as head, chest, and arm injuries, and are currently hospitalized.
