Truck carrying 1,6 tons of foul-smelling chicken feet bones discovered

Authorities seized and destroyed over 1,6 tons of strongly foul-smelling chicken feet bones being transported for consumption.

On the afternoon of 7/5, in Quynh An commune, Market Management Team No. 6, in coordination with other functional forces, discovered the food product on a truck.

Tran Van Tung (33 years old, residing in Dong Tien Hung commune), who was both the driver and owner of the goods, could not present invoices proving the origin of the shipment.

Authorities concluded that the goods failed to meet veterinary hygiene and food safety requirements. The 1.620 kg of chicken feet bones had discolored, showed signs of spoilage, and emitted a strong foul odor before being destroyed.

Driver Tung was fined 10 million VND for transporting animal products that did not meet veterinary hygiene and food safety standards for commercial purposes.
