On 30/6, the Dak Lak Provincial Traffic Police Department announced it had issued an administrative penalty of 5,9 million dong to a 34-year-old woman residing in Ea Kao ward. The penalty was for the offenses of carrying passengers in a car without wearing seat belts and allowing people to cling to the car door while the vehicle was in motion.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of 21/6 when the woman was driving a car on provincial road 682 through Hamlet 8, Hoa Phu commune. At that time, a child was seen leaning completely out of the car's sunroof, with other vehicles nearby.
Following reports from residents, the traffic police department summoned the female driver for questioning and issued a report. The woman admitted to the violations.
Police advised that allowing children to stand on seats or lean their heads or any part of their bodies out of a sunroof poses significant life-threatening risks. Specifically, when a vehicle is in motion, sudden braking, abrupt turns, driving over rough roads, or collisions can cause a child to lose balance, strike surfaces, and be ejected from the car.
"Children also risk colliding with tree branches, signs, power lines, roadside obstacles, or being directly affected by strong winds, dust, gravel, and surrounding traffic," the provincial traffic police department stated.
