On 3/10, Dong Nai Irrigation One Member Limited Company announced unusual information regarding Nguyen Thi Giang Huong, former chairwoman of Nhon Trach district and a member of the company's Board of Members. She has been prosecuted by the Police Investigation Agency under the Ministry of Public Security.

The company stated that on 2/10, representatives from the investigation agency visited the company. They officially announced the prosecution and delivered documents requesting disciplinary action against party members violating the law. This marked the first time the company was directly informed by a competent authority about Huong's prosecution.

During the meeting, the investigation agency indicated that the prosecution relates to Huong's responsibilities during her tenure at the Nhon Trach District People's Committee, prior to her transfer to Dong Nai Irrigation One Member Limited Company. The official announcement did not specify the charges or the particular actions she is accused of.

Following the notification, Dong Nai Irrigation One Member Limited Company issued an unusual information disclosure and reported the matter to the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, which acts as the owner's representative.

Huong previously served as chairwoman of the Nhon Trach District People's Committee. In 2024, she drew attention after being defrauded of over 171 billion VND by a high-tech scam group. The Dong Nai Provincial Police subsequently initiated criminal proceedings against 10 defendants connected to this case.

Also in 2024, Huong was dismissed from her positions as deputy secretary of the District Party Committee and chairwoman of the Nhon Trach District People's Committee. This dismissal followed an inspection which determined she had been dishonest in her asset and income declarations, evasive, concealed the origin of undeclared funds, and failed to provide complete documentation for declared assets.

Subsequently, Huong began working at Dong Nai Irrigation One Member Limited Company as a member of the Board of Members.
