On 24/6, Nhung was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy to investigate the crime of falsifying case files, under clause 3, article 375 of the Penal Code.

Investigators discovered the case when they collected files and documents related to Do Ngoc Ha and accomplices, who were involved in organizing gambling and gambling. The Procuracy's investigation agency later found two versions of the criminal case investigation conclusion, both bearing the same reference number and issuance date.

However, these two investigation conclusions differed regarding the gambling acts. The court did not order the confiscation of a discrepancy of over 89 billion dong in gambling proceeds for the state fund.

The Procuracy determined that Nhung falsified case files, causing the prosecution by the People's Procuracy of Hanoi city and the first-instance trial to overlook gambling acts and proceeds of the defendants.

In addition to this, the Procuracy transferred the files to the Investigation Police Agency of the Hanoi City Police for handling within its jurisdiction. The Hanoi Police subsequently prosecuted 8 people for organizing gambling and gambling.
