On 2/4, Cao Bang Provincial Police announced that the investigative agency had initiated criminal proceedings and temporarily detained Trieu Thi Dung, 32, residing in Phu Thong commune, Thai Nguyen province. She is being investigated for disseminating obscene cultural products. Others involved in the case have been prohibited from leaving their residences to assist with the investigation.
According to police, Dung and three other women, aged 34 to 37, conspired to livestream pornographic acts to earn money. The group meticulously prepared, assigning specific roles to each person.

The group then used multiple mobile phone applications to organize livestreams, broadcasting pornographic and sexually explicit content for profit. They organized these activities in shifts, each lasting about 4 hours, attracting over 30,000 followers. Participants had to register in advance with a management account.
During the livestreams, they received "xu" - a type of virtual gift - from viewers, which was then converted into money. The cost for each livestream session ranged from about 5,600 to 6,200 xu, equivalent to 1,2 to 1,4 million dong.
During searches of the suspects' residences, police seized numerous exhibits and related equipment, including: mobile phones, computers, lighting equipment, stands, and other items used for livestreaming.
