According to the investigation, in February, Phan Van Nghia, 33, a resident of Huong Son commune, parked his tractor-trailer in an empty lot near a garage in Son Tay commune owned by Kinh. Due to an urgent matter, Nghia left and forgot to take the keys and vehicle documents.
After a long period without anyone claiming the vehicle, on 8/4, Kinh inspected it and discovered the keys and documents inside the cabin. He then planned the theft. He asked Ho, a garage employee, to contact Nhat to sell the tractor-trailer for 200 million VND.

A few days later, Nhat resold the tractor-trailer to Giang and Sang for 225 million VND. After the agreement, the group removed the license plate, covered the vehicle with a tarp, and hid it at Giang’s house to avoid detection.
In mid-April, Nghia discovered his vehicle was stolen and reported it to the police. After an investigation, Ha Tinh Provincial Police tracked down the 5 suspects.
Authorities confirmed the stolen vehicle was worth 510 million VND.
