Hanoi police to inspect nearly 10,000 rental properties, businesses

Of the nearly 10,000 establishments Hanoi police are scheduled to inspect in Quarter II, half are rental rooms, followed by workshops, karaoke parlors, supermarkets, gas stations, schools, and medical stations.

An estimated 9,839 establishments, or about 98,8%, will be inspected for compliance with fire prevention and fighting (PCCC) laws.

Other inspection areas, accounting for a smaller proportion, include: security and order conditions (42 establishments), residency and foreign national management (32 establishments), and immigration management (14 establishments).

The establishments slated for inspection are spread across Hanoi, with Yen Hoa ward and Tu Liem ward having the highest number of locations on the list – over 700 establishments in each ward.

Additionally, Dong Ngac, Ha Dong, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Nghia Do, Khuong Dinh, and Tay Ho wards each have approximately 250-300 establishments requiring inspection.

These areas are characterized by rapid urbanization, high population density, and a concentration of workers and students seeking rental accommodation, along with numerous businesses and services.

Rental rooms and residential rental properties, including accommodation services, constitute the largest category on the list with over 4,600 establishments, distributed across inner-city districts and communes bordering industrial zones.

The industrial and handicraft production sectors also account for a significant portion, concentrated in industrial clusters like Ngoc Hoi, Quang Minh, Phu Nghia, and carpentry villages such as Tay Phuong and Huu Bang communes, featuring numerous wood and furniture workshops.

The list also includes hundreds of independent kindergartens, private clinics, and high-risk service businesses such as gas stations, karaoke parlors, and spas.
