On 4/7, the Dak Lak Provincial Police issued an appeal for public assistance in identifying and locating the individual responsible for a fatal shooting. The suspect is described as male, approximately 1,64 m to 1,7 m tall. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a long-sleeved blue Grab uniform shirt, blue jeans, a green helmet, and sandals.

The vehicle used by the suspect is believed to be a red and white Honda Air Blade motorcycle, though its license plate remains unidentified. After committing the crime, during his escape, he changed from the blue Grab uniform jacket to a gray-white jacket.

The Dak Lak Provincial Police have warned that any individual found harboring or assisting the perpetrator, or obstructing the ongoing investigation and pursuit, will face legal prosecution.

According to the investigation, on the evening of 2/7, Mr. Hua Hong Hai, 47, residing in Ea Knop commune, was sitting and drinking at a roadside stall on Tran Nhat Duat street, Buon Ma Thuot ward. An assailant approached him unexpectedly, drew a gun (type unknown), and fired five shots at his head, causing his death.
