Hanoi police announced on the evening of 19/9 that they have prosecuted 28-year-old Le Huong Ly, a resident of Dong Da ward, for defamation, a day after initiating criminal proceedings.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Ly posted defamatory content about Miss Universe Vietnam Quynh Hoa on social media on 12/9 stemming from a personal dispute. The post reportedly contained sensitive information and vulgar language.

"At the time, Miss Universe Vietnam chose to work with authorities to ensure the situation was properly investigated and addressed, providing a clear response to the public," her representative explained.
