The mural stretches along Nguyen Huu Canh Street, painted on the walls of the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens and Saigon University in Ward 1, depicting scenic landscapes of the country and recreating the historic unification parade with armed forces, officials, and citizens.
This mural is part of the "Beautiful Vietnam" series by the Ho Chi Minh City Police, with 19 works across the city, recognized by the Vietnam Records Organization.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Police, previously, many walls and electricity poles in the city were covered with illegal advertisements for "loan sharks" and "septic tank services," creating an eyesore and potential security risks. The Ho Chi Minh City Police consulted with Directive 138 to launch a campaign to remove these ads, mobilizing the participation of political and social organizations and residents.
Beyond simply cleaning up, authorities transformed these unsightly walls into works of art. The "Beautiful Vietnam" mural series was born, becoming a symbol of the determination of the government and community in building a civilized city.
The project on Nguyen Huu Canh Street was inaugurated this morning with the participation of Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the People's Committee; Lieutenant General Mai Hoang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police, along with leaders from the Ministry of Public Security, other agencies, and organizations.
