On 7/10, Thong Nhat General Hospital announced that Quang, 41, had been taken home by his family after over a month of treatment for multiple injuries. His health is gradually stabilizing; he can walk slowly and speak normally.
A family representative expressed gratitude to the hospital's leadership, doctors, and nurses, as well as various agencies, organizations, hometown associations, and individuals who offered encouragement and support. After returning home, Quang will continue treatment and receive psychological support.
At Nguyen Duc Anh's trial on 6/10, Quang requested to be absent due to his unstable health and psychological condition. Relatives from Nghe An attended as representatives of the victim's family, along with two lawyers to protect their interests.

According to the case file, Duc Anh was in a relationship with a 17-year-old girl in Binh Minh commune. After they broke up, he harbored thoughts of revenge and repeatedly went to his ex-girlfriend's house on the night of 2/9.
Around midnight on 3/9, Duc Anh, carrying two knives, climbed over a neighbor's roof to break in but was discovered by the girl's father, who chased him away. He then climbed into the adjacent house belonging to Quang and his wife.
When discovered by the homeowner, Duc Anh attacked with a knife. Hearing the commotion, Mai ran out to open the gate and call for help but was also stabbed. Quang ran outside, was pursued, and stabbed 31 times, suffering 85% health damage but was saved.
Duc Anh then re-entered the house and murdered Quang and his wife's two children, who were sleeping in their room. After committing the crime, he went to the bathroom to wash his hands and feet, then opened the gate, intending to flee, but was caught red-handed by the police.
On 6/10, the Dong Nai City People's Court sentenced Duc Anh to death for two crimes: murder and illegal use of military weapons.
