On 27/9, Nguyen Thai Tuan, 24, a resident of Vung Tau ward, was prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency. He faces charges of violating road traffic regulations after a hit-and-run accident in Vung Tau that injured two siblings.

Investigations revealed the incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. on 20/9. Tuan drove his Mercedes to a wedding reception venue on Hoang Hoa Tham street to pick up an acquaintance. Afterwards, he parked the car on Ba Huyen Thanh Quan street, then drove onto Le Hong Phong street, turning onto Truong Cong Dinh street towards Thong Nhat Moi street. In front of house number 313, Tuan's car collided with a motorbike. The motorbike was driven by Nguyen Dinh Huy, 20, a resident of Rach Dua ward, who was carrying his older sister, Nguyen Thi Thuong, 27. Both were traveling in the same direction as Tuan's car.

According to investigators, Tuan saw the two motorbike riders fall onto the road after the collision. Fearing responsibility, he did not stop, continuing to drive away from the scene. The next morning, 21/9, police discovered the Mercedes parked on Ba Huyen Thanh Quan street in Vung Tau ward, approximately 1 km from the accident site.

Huy and Thuong were transported to Cho Ray Hospital for emergency treatment. Forensic examination results determined that the total bodily injury sustained by the two victims provided sufficient grounds to pursue criminal charges against Tuan.
