Man attacks nurse at Hai Hau General Hospital

Pham Duc Tho, 39, is accused of assaulting a nurse at Hai Hau General Hospital, believing medical staff delayed treating his relative.

Tho was detained on 23/8 by Ninh Binh provincial police on suspicion of disturbing public order.

Two days earlier, Tho brought a relative suffering from stomach pain to the intensive care unit of Hai Hau General Hospital. While two nurses were discussing the patient's condition and explaining the treatment process, Tho began shouting and cursing. He accused the medical staff of "intentionally delaying treatment."

Tho allegedly kicked a nurse in the stomach, causing her to fall to the floor. Several witnesses were frightened. Hospital security and police arrived shortly after, urging Tho to remain calm and comply with public regulations.

Tho confessed to his actions when questioned by the police.
