On 17/8, Da Nang City Police reported that they are holding Dong Phuoc Hieu, 30, and Nguyen Tuong, 20, for investigation on charges of death threats and disturbing public order.

According to the investigation, at around 8 p.m. on 14/8, Tuong drove Hieu on a motorbike to the King pool hall in Ba Ren village, Xuan Phu commune, Da Nang City, owned by Doan Ca Hat, to "resolve a personal conflict."

At the pool hall, Hieu fired a warning shot from a revolver into the air, then pointed it directly at Hat's head and threatened, "Do you believe I'll shoot you?". At the same time, Tuong headbutted the victim.

The Criminal Police Department coordinated with Xuan Phu Commune Police to investigate the incident overnight. On the morning of 15/8, Hieu surrendered to the police.

Police searched Hieu's residence and confiscated an air gun along with several pellets. Nguyen Tuong was subsequently arrested.
