On 21/2, Bac Ninh Provincial Police announced that their Criminal Police Department is temporarily detaining Pham Dinh Trung, 39, residing in Nha Nam commune, for investigation into robbery of property.

The incident occurred around 7:20 PM on 20/2. Trung, carrying a gun, was reportedly searching for targets when he spotted a 33-year-old man parking a Vios by the roadside in Tien Thang village, Nha Nam commune. The driver was preparing to enter a grocery store. Trung allegedly approached, threatened the driver with a handgun, and then stole the oto, valued at approximately 250 million VND (Vietnamese dong), before fleeing.

Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department and other specialized units quickly set up roadblocks across various routes. At 8:10 PM the same day, Trung was apprehended on provincial road 295B, passing through Nengh residential group, Nengh ward. Police recovered all related exhibits.
