On 16/10, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police Department (PC08) announced it had handled two separate incidents involving teenagers engaging in dangerous driving behaviors. These acts were reportedly filmed and uploaded to social media platforms to attract attention and engagement.
In one incident, PC08, in coordination with Xuan Thoi Son Commune Police, summoned eight teenagers for questioning. The group had been observed driving motorbikes in car-only lanes and performing dangerous swerving maneuvers on Le Quang Dao Street, specifically near An Ha Bridge.
During questioning, one member of the group admitted to recording their traffic violations using a mobile phone. Their intention was to post these videos on social media, aiming to "gain views" and likes from online audiences.

On the same day, PC08, collaborating with Ho Tram Commune Police, investigated a separate case involving a 9th-grade male student. This student was found controlling an electric motorbike with both feet on Provincial Road 328. He confessed to the dangerous stunt, resulting in an administrative violation record and the confiscation of his vehicle as per regulations.
PC08 urges the public to strictly comply with traffic regulations and refrain from performing dangerous stunts solely for the purpose of creating social media content. The department also advises parents to closely supervise their children and ensure that vehicles are not operated by individuals who are unqualified or underage.
