Nguyen Thi Nhung, a resident of Cam Lo commune, is currently being detained by the Quang Tri Provincial Police Investigation Agency for transporting prohibited goods.

On the afternoon of 17/6, the Dakrong Traffic Police Station, part of the Traffic Police Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police, received a tip from the Lao Bao Commune Police about a suspicious vehicle potentially carrying prohibited items. Authorities quickly deployed forces to intercept and apprehend the vehicle.
A task force stopped a taxi driven by Nguyen Le Hoang Ha, 39. Inside the vehicle, Ms. Nhung was found with fireworks packed in sacks, loaded across the back seats and in the trunk.
Police seized 84 boxes of illegally transported explosive fireworks. Ms. Nhung confessed she was transporting the items for a fee. Driver Ha stated he was unaware the cargo consisted of explosive fireworks.
The case is under expanded investigation.
