Ho Chi Minh City Police announced on 8/10 that Do Minh Quang, 44, admitted to posting content about Novaland "to attract likes and views."
This followed a complaint from Nova Real Estate Investment Group Joint Stock Company (Novaland), which reported several accounts on Facebook, Threads, TikTok, and groups on Zalo, Viber, and Telegram for disseminating information about the company's financial situation and solvency.
Upon receiving the complaint, the Criminal Police Department (PC02) verified the accounts, collected electronic data, and identified the origin of the content.
During questioning at the police agency, Quang stated his intention was to gain attention on social media, noting that some of his posts garnered many likes, comments, and shares.
Authorities determined that this unverified information could damage Novaland's reputation, operations, and legitimate rights and interests.

Ho Chi Minh City Police advise the public to verify information before posting or sharing, to avoid spreading unverified or false content.
