On 15/7, Nhan, from Khe Tre commune, Hue City, was prosecuted by Lam Dong Provincial Police Department for unlawful detention.

The investigation revealed that yesterday afternoon, Nhan took a taxi from R'Chai 2 hamlet to hamlet 20 in Duc Trong commune, then walked along National Highway 20. At around 7 PM, he entered a grocery store and suddenly pulled out a knife, taking the 46-year-old shopkeeper hostage. Nhan dragged her into the store and refused to let anyone approach.

Duc Trong Commune Police and Lam Dong Provincial Police arrived at the scene and tried to persuade Nhan to drop the knife and release the hostage, but their attempts were unsuccessful. At 8:45 PM, the police stormed the store, disarmed and subdued Nhan, rescuing the shopkeeper unharmed.

A rapid test showed that Nhan was positive for methamphetamine.
